180 BRAIDED RAMPS - FRESNO, CA

Meroe Engineering assisted Orito & Associates, Inc. in partnering with RL Brosamer/Walsh in constructing the State Route 180 Fresno Braided Ramps.

 

The braided ramps headlined news in the California central valley as one of the largest design-builds to ever be implemented in the state with total project and related costs nearing $70 million.  Meroe provided quality assurance construction managment for critical point activities.  

 

The scope of work included nearly 2,000 feet of post-tensioned box girder bridges with several miles of JCPC paving, soundwall, and barrier rail.

 

The project was completed in 2013.

CIRCLE DRIVE BRIDGE - PASADENA, CA

Meroe Engineering provided falsework design for Powell Constructors.  The designpertained to a 200 foot concrete, box-girder bridge for Circle Drive over Virginia Road in the City of Pasadena (Los Angeles County).  Circle Drive was completed in 2016 and allowed residents to safely cross a historic city route.

SOUTH MILLIKEN GRADE SEPARATION - ONTARIO, CA

Meroe Engineering assisted Orito & Associates, Inc. in partnering with Danken Engineering Group for the South Milliken Grade Separation in Ontario, CA. Meroe provided quality assurance inspection and local structure representative duties for the highly anticipated overcrossing near the CA-60 Freeway in Ontario.

 

Construction is being performed by Griffith Construction the structure overpass and is scheduled to be completed in 2016.

NORTH VINEYARD GRADE SEPARATION - ONTARIO, CA

Meroe Engineering assisted Orito & Associates, Inc. in partnering with Danken Engineering Group for the North Vineyard Grade Separation in Ontario, CA. Meroe provided quality assurance inspection and local structure representative duties for the highly anticipated undercrossing near the Ontario Airport.

 

Construction was performed by Ortiz Construction for a precast girder rail-road bridge.  Top-down construction was performed allowing for the installation of a temporary UPRR railroad shoefly track; 70 foot long and 4 foot diameter CIDH piles; and a sloped fascia wall.

 

The project was completed and opened to the public in 2016.
